From the Dean

I am so proud of the work being done at the Zucker Family Graduate Education Center in the Chicora-Cherokee neighborhood of North Charleston. As a land-grant institution, public service is part of Clemson University’s DNA. We’ve teamed with industrial partners, public schools and community-based organizations to offer two important camps for young people.
Coding for Kids is a five-week experience that introduces coding and computing to rising third-, fourth- and fifth-graders. Clemson University Women in Numbers is a math-intensive camp for middle school girls. The idea is to increase their confidence in math and other STEM subjects.
We want to inspire these young people early enough for them to explore careers in science and technology. Hats off to everyone connected with these outreach programs at the Zucker Family Graduate Education Center!
I’d also like to offer a shout-out to our Clemson University Tigers, who brought home their second National Championship in three years – what an amazing achievement!

Sincerely,
Anand Gramopadhye, Dean
