Ranch House Renovation Updates |

Roofing Project and Pool Area Access:
After meeting with our roofing contractor this week, we’re pleased to share that hot tub and lap lane access will be available outside of roofing work hours.
From December 1 through January 1, the lap lanes and hot tubs will be closed Monday–Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During these times, roofing work will be in progress.

These temporary closures are necessary to ensure the safety of all guests during the roofing project. Our goal is to keep these areas accessible as much as possible, and we’ll provide updates if the schedule changes. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we complete these important improvements.
|
Mailroom:
As previously discussed, our mailroom will be renovated this winter. To accommodate this work, a temporary mailroom has been set up. All existing mailboxes and package lockers have been relocated to a temporary trailer in the Ranch House parking lot. Your current box number and key remain the same; simply collect your mail at the new temporary location.
|
Project Delays:
As discussed at the October board meeting, our building permit took longer than anticipated. While we did complete design stages and applied for the permit in accordance with our original timelines, permits through the Town of Carbondale have been experiencing delays. Because of this, we anticipate delays in opening this spring. We recommend that you refer to the latest renovation report, which is updated at every monthly board meeting, for details.

During the November board meeting, the 2026 Budget will be officially voted on. If approved, the community will then cast their votes beginning Friday, Dec. 5.
For a detailed breakdown of the proposed budgets, please refer to the linked supplementary documents.

With the holiday season here, many members will have guests in town that may want to visit the Ranch House.
Here are some important rules to remember when checking in your guests:
|
| |
|
Guests visiting the Ranch House must be accompanied by a Member. Members must check their guests in at the Front Desk upon entry, fill out appropriate paperwork and pay the applicable guest fee(s), which are charged to the Member's account. Members are liable for their guest(s) and any charges they incur.
If you are unable to accompany your guest be sure to give the front desk a call for each day they will be visiting the Ranch House at 970.963.6300.
Members are responsible for the conduct and safety of minor-aged guests who are at the Ranch House, even if the child is old enough to use the facility without adult supervision (12 years old).
Each membership may check in up to 8 guests per day.
The daily guest fee is $9.00 for adults and $7.00 for children. Read more about the guest policy in the Rules and Regulations document by clicking here (pg.4)

|
Please remember that accessible parking spaces are essential for community members with disabilities to access our facilities safely and independently. Misusing these spaces—even for a short stop at the mailboxes or Ranch House—can greatly affect someone’s daily life. Let’s all be good neighbors by keeping accessible spots and aisles open for those who truly need them. Thank you for helping make our community inclusive for everyone.

Tom's Door Holiday Giving Program |
Tom's Door in partnership with RVR is celebrating our 10th annual holiday gift drive for Carbondale Seniors. Over the last nine years, we have experienced a generous outpouring of contributions. We are working with Aspen Glen this year to provide gift cards to all the 78 residents of Carbondale Senior Housing who otherwise might not have a Christmas. These residents are 62 years of age or older, live in Crystal Meadows housing on social security and have an income level of less than $37,000 a year. You can give them some hope and cheer and share the magic of the holiday season.
If you wish to get involved, visit the RVR Ranch House beginning Saturday, Nov. 1 and choose a key from the wreath on the festive red Tom's Christmas Door. There are several gift card options including City Market, Target and Walmart. Our suggested donation is $50. We ask that you return the gift cards into the door's mail slot no later than Sunday, Dec. 7. Please feel free to include a personal note if you wish to share a holiday message.
Additional information about Tom's Door is available next to the red door if you are not familiar with this wonderful organization and the outreach and positive impact it has in our community.
If you have any questions, please contact Sidney Poncelet at 970-309-2393 or sidponcelet@gmail.com.
We thank you in advance for your generosity.
