| Joint Venture Marks a New Era in Aerospace and Policy Research |
Tackling the fast-growing problem takes coordination across the globe for the right solutions. Led by Assistant Professor Thomas González Roberts, ESPL will focus on international coordination, sustainability, and security in outer space. Roberts is a member of both the AE and INTA faculties, the first joint appointment between the two schools. With a foot in both worlds, Roberts is building an interdisciplinary research environment that few other universities can support.

The Daniel Guggenheim School of Aerospace Engineering (AE School) has presented the inaugural Outstanding Research Advisor (ORA) Award to Associate Professor Koki Ho for Ph.D. students, and to Assistant Professor Cristina Riso for M.S. students. Research Engineer Dan Lev was honored with the Outstanding Supporting Author (OSA) Award.

| Raheem Beyah Named Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs |
College of Engineering (CoE) Dean Raheem Beyah has been selected as Georgia Tech's next provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, beginning Nov. 1.
Beyah has led CoE since 2021, strengthening its national and global reputation for innovation, research excellence, and student success.

Congratulations to AE undergraduate student Tryston Schmitt. He has received an Honorable Mention for the 2025 Universities Space Research Association (USRA) Distinguished Undergraduate Awards. USRA is an independent, nonprofit research corporation where the combined efforts of in-house talent and university-based expertise merge to advance space science and technology. The honorable mentions were selected from 130 applicants (from 71 different universities) by a review panel consisting of faculty at USRA’s member institutions.
