CORONOVIRUS UPDATE
The UO is working closely with local, state, and federal health authorities to proactively monitor and respond to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Here are this week's updates.
UO EVENTS
  • Tech Connect is bringing experts from the tech industry to network with students tonight, 5:00–7:00 p.m. in the EMU.
  • Women to Watch brings inspiring and successful women speakers to campus to celebrate Women's History Month, Monday, March 9, 5:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Wednesday, March 11, is the International Womxn's Day Celebration, 6:00–8:00 p.m. 
  • The School of Law will host the Oregon Supreme Court for two hearings next Thursday, March 12, at 9:00 a.m. The public is welcome. RSVP required.

TALKS AND LECTURES
  • UO alumni and professional filmmaker Jake Swantko will give a Demystifying Media lecture on Documentary Storytelling, Tuesday, March 10 at noon.
  • Communication researcher Kathleen Hall Jamieson will be here giving talks on distrust of science and elections next Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • Learn about how adolescents use media and technology next Thursday, March 12 with Kris Wright, Media Studies doctoral candidate and Graduate School Family GE.
