Canvas Tips from Your Colleagues |
Blackboard will be retired at the end of Spring 2025.
Over half of the College’s primary instructors have already migrated or will migrate to Canvas in Spring 2025.
Here are tips from your colleagues to help you prepare for migration:
John Cantiello, HAP, recommends trying out at least one course in Canvas in the Spring. “I couldn’t imagine converting four courses all at once with no experience in Canvas. I’m so glad I piloted one course this semester. That’s the biggest piece of advice I can think of.”
Iulia Fratila, GCH, appreciates Canvas features that save your time while grading. “Use the grading comment library – Canvas can store assignment comments into a library bank so that you don’t find yourself re-typing or copy-pasting the same comments over and over again. [T]his can be a helpful feature if you find yourself giving the same feedback.”
