Looking for a new place to hang out on campus? The STATIC Lounge is excited to announce that it is now open! The Lounge is a new addition to the HUB and expands on the services offered to students via the student activity fee.
The STATIC Lounge features a free snack bar, open fridge, PS5 set-up, two 70-inch HD TVs, foosball, putting green, cornhole boards, and MORE! You can find the Lounge on the second floor of the HUB, located directly above Chic-fil-a. It is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from noon until 4:00 p.m.
We want to make your experience in the Lounge perfect, so don’t forget to leave your suggestions in our suggestion box, located at the snack bar!

My Class Uses D2L. Is There an App for That?
Brightspace Pulse is an app that you can use to get push notifications for posted grades and view new course content right on your phone. You can also use it to track any upcoming assignments, as the app links directly to the calendar in D2L. It is a great tool to help you stay on track throughout the semester.

Have you wondered about sailing, but never had a chance to try it out? Stop by Jane Leonard Hall (Humanities Lobby) on Thursday, September 22, at 7:30 p.m. for the next Sailing Club meeting. The IUP Sailing Club will cover beginners’ basics like sailing terminology, knot tying, racing, tactics, and wind awareness. The club will match any beginner with an experienced skipper to “get your feet wet. ” For experts, information about joining the club and discussions about upcoming regattas may be of interest. Anchors away!

Inside IUP Covers IUP Day
In case you missed it, IUP Day was a resounding success. One hundred and forty groups and over 1,500 students gathered in the KCAC on Thursday, September 8, to table and recruit members. Take a closer look with Professor Malaika Turner, and don't forget that it’s not too late to join a student club at IUP. Check out Crimson Connect to find your people!

Stop by for snuggles every week on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. in the Center for Health and Well-Being to spend some time with Ranger (IUP’s own therapy dog) and his friends! All are welcome. And take advantage of the Relaxation Room, too. Start the week off stress-free!

Please join us for our annual IUP Health and Wellness Fair on Tuesday, September 20, in the HUB Ohio and Susquehanna rooms from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event will include more than 40 vendors, who will offer health education, free medical screenings, demonstrations, giveaways, and more. The fair is free to all IUP employees and students.

Join the Haven Project on Tuesday, September 20, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. to create a visual display across the Oak Grove in preparation for RAINN Day 2022. Show your support to survivors of sexual violence by chalking the walkways with messages of support, facts, and resources. All materials will be provided.
