Notre Dame to establish Jenkins Center for Virtue Ethics

Today Notre Dame announced the establishment of the Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., Center for Virtue Ethics, a signature element of the Notre Dame Ethics Initiative emerging from the University’s strategic framework.
“Father Jenkins’ legacy will thrive and expand through this center, ensuring that his deep commitment to civil dialogue, intellectual and spiritual humility, human flourishing, and the common good will be at the core of Notre Dame’s work in the world.” —Meghan Sullivan, Ethics Initiative director and Wilsey Family College Professor of Philosophy


Distinguished leaders to receive Notre Dame honorary degrees, Laetare Medal

The University will confer honorary degrees on four distinguished leaders in business, science, the Catholic Church and the arts at its 179th University Commencement Ceremony on May 19.

Hesburgh Libraries acquires complete digital archive of South Bend Tribune

You now have complete online access to more than 150 years of South Bend history. The electronic database allows users to see full scans of each available issue, giving researchers the opportunity to view articles in context, exactly as they were printed, including photos, graphics, advertisements and other page content.


Employee tuition benefit brings ND Summer Online Courses to staff and faculty

You may have noticed signs around campus encouraging passersby to “Take home the Dome for the summer” by enrolling in an online summer course. For employees, that means an opportunity to use the tuition remission benefit.
