| UNO's Midlo Center and Whitney Plantation Partner on New Exhibit |
The Midlo Center and UNO's Public History students are working with The Whitney Plantation and Freedom on the Move to produce an exhibition focused on resistance. The project is funded by the Institute for Museum and Library Sciences (IMLS).
|
|
|
Last month, students took an exploratory tour of The Whitney to document spaces and generate ideas. They also attended the annual Spirit Dedication to the enslaved ancestors of Whitney and beyond.
The exhibit will open in 2025. Stay tuned to watch our progress.

Horton Allows One Hit in 6.1 Innings, Privateers Sweep Brown |
Collin Horton allowed just one hit in 6.1 innings and the New Orleans Privateers finished off a sweep with a 5-1 win over the Brown Bears on Sunday afternoon at Maestri Field.

Privateers Take Down No. 3 Southeastern in SLC Quarterfinal Behind Johnson's 32 Points |
New Orleans men's basketball program took down the No. 3 seed Southeastern in an 82-78 Monday night thriller to advance to the Southland Conference tournament semifinal.
Jordan Johnson led with 32 points to mark his ninth game with 20+ points and his second with 30+ points. Johnson also had a season high of 11 made free-throws. Jamond Vincent had his second consecutive double-double with 18 points and 13 rebounds. Tyson Jackson was also in double-figures for his second straight game with 11 points and five boards. >> READ MORE
