Whether your student is new to AU or has been here for a few semesters, here is a list of important resources to support your Eagle's success!

Eagle Family Webinar Series sessions help parents/families learn about key topics and resources that support AU students (first-year, transfer, sophomore, junior, or senior).

Winter Welcome is an exciting time for students to get to know the AU community! Campus partners host events for students to socialize, make new friends, and develop strong connections on campus and at the University. Winter Welcome runs through the first week of classes and students can log into Engage to view events.

Career Center Programs and Events
|
|
|
The AU Career Center has robust programming for students!
Events:
📌 Internship Workshops help students explore and prepare to submit for summer internship applications in government, public affairs, justice & law, international affairs, STEM, psychology, social sciences, education, humanities, communication and arts.
📌 Signature Series events to assist students with career education topics ranging from Job Search Strategy to Interviewing.

📌 Employer events include a networking reception and career fairs.
📌 Job Fair Prep events ensure each student is ready for the Job & Internship Fair in April.
Resources:
🖊️Advising: Students can meet with their school-specific career advisor or drop-in to Bender Library (drop-ins: every weekday from 1-3pm).
🖊️Handshake: Students log in with their AU credentials to register for events, search for jobs and internships, and schedule appointments with their career advisor.
🖊️Weekly Newsletter: Students learn about recruitment and career education events.
🖊️Merit Awards: The Office of Merit Awards helps students and alumni identify and compete for national merit-based scholarship and fellowship opportunities for study abroad, graduate education, research and high-level work experiences.
