The UC Santa Barbara campus extends our deepest sympathy to all those affected by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area. We encourage any student in need of support to reach out to the campus resources available. Additionally, UCSB's own preparation for wildfire response is highlighted in a recent Current article and includes a campus evacuation outline in the event of an emergency.
This month's newsletter also includes a 2025-26 housing application deadline reminder for continuing students, 2025 Grad Fair details, and more.
Reminders & Announcements
The Continuing Undergraduate Application period for 2025-26 campus housing has been shortened to one week in order to allow Campus Housing to get results out to students sooner. The application will open at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 27 and close at 11:59pm on Friday, January 31. Applications received by the deadline are considered on time, and there is no preference given to applications submitted earlier in the week. Applications received after the January 31 deadline will be considered late and likely will not receive an offer. Last year approximately 50% of on-time applicants received an offer through the continuing student housing lottery.
Students and parents can also explore both on and off-campus housing options by watching therecorded Housing 101 Webinar offered earlier this quarter.
