NeighborWorks Homeownership Center hosts homebuyer workshop for Walmart employees

Over a two-day period we conducted four homebuying information sessions with a total of 114 participants. We thank Walmart for seeing the importance of housing and allowing us to discuss important housing topics like financial assistance programs, the homebuying process, loan requirements, getting lower interest rates, and other related housing topics!

Save the Dates: NEPA Gives and Scranton City Pride
On June 3rd, 2022 NeighborWorks is again joining the region-wide giving movement: NEPA Gives! During this 24-hour giving event, we are raising funds to support our programs: Aging in Place, the Homeownership Center, and Neighborhood Revitalization. These funds help ensure we can still offer homebuyer workshops, Beautiful Blocks, Paint the Town, and other events throughout the year!

On June 3rd, starting at 12am, make sure to visit our personal fundraising page here. Bookmark it! You will have 24 hours to make a donation, and all giving will end at 11:59pm on June 3rd. Thank you!
Additionally, please save the date for Scranton City Pride 2022, as we again partner with our friends at Scranton Tomorrow to launch a citywide cleanup and beautification initiative. Taking place from June 4-12, Scranton City Pride will feature trash and litter cleanups, planting efforts, and other neighborhood beautification efforts. Participants can organize their family, neighbors, and coworkers to do a group project, or join up with a pre-planned service site. Stay tuned for more details.
