  1. Looking for childcare during your evening classes? Good news! GVSU has partnered with YMCA to offer childcare service at the David D. Hunting branch, next to Pew Campus. The service is available for both GVSU students and employees, Monday-Thursday from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Registration is available online! For more details, please check out the news article on the Forum Newsletter.

  2. Do you have questions about your project, thesis, or dissertation? Wonder no more! We have two workshops coming up. The virtual session will be on September 20, from 2-4 p.m. The in-person session will be held September 21, 4-6 p.m., in DEV 201D. Register for your session on our website. As a reminder, all students completing a thesis or dissertation are required to attend a workshop.

  3. The Graduate School is collaborating with the Milton E. Ford LGBT Resource Center on the first learning session of the year. Wondering what the Center is and its role on campus? Join us on October 5, 4-6 p.m., in DEV 201D. Everyone is invited!

  4. Are you prepared for what is next after graduating? Would you like to connect with hundreds of employers for an internship or a job? The Career and Internship Fair is coming up on October 11, from 1-5 p.m., at the DeVos Place Convention Center. Visit the Career Center for more information and to register. Also, check out the CareerLab if you would like to prepare your profile and resume for the event!

  5. Do you have a research or scholarly project that you would like some extra funding support? Then don't miss the October 15 deadline to submit your Winter 2023 proposal for the Presidential Research Grants!

  6. Are you interested in research on space-related science and technology? You can now apply for NASA's National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program through the Michigan Space Grant Consortium's website. This is available to both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as staff and faculty members interested in related scholarly activites. 2023-2024 proposal deadline is November 16, 2022.
