Saturday, May 16
9 a.m.: School of Engineering Ceremony for graduate programs with remarks from Deans Kyongbum Lee and Karen Panetta, and Alexis Abramson, E95, EG98, Professor and Dean at the Columbia Climate School, and Tufts School of Engineering Board of Advisors Member, will deliver the commencement address during the School of Engineering's Graduate Programs Ceremony.
9:30 a.m.: Master’s Commencement Ceremony, Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The tent on J Field. Information has been sent to eligible graduating students.
1 p.m.: Graduate School of Arts and Sciences Doctoral Hooding Ceremony with remarks from Dean Ayanna K. Thomas, Provost and Senior Vice President Caroline Genco, Professor Kasso Okoudjou, Dean Sam Thomas, and student speaker Elisa Guzman. Cohen Auditorium, Medford.
3 p.m.: Baccalaureate Ceremony for all graduating seniors and families with an address by Dhruv Sampat, A26, the 2026 Wendell Phillips Award Winner and an address by University President Sunil Kumar. On The Green between Ballou and Bendetson Halls. The ceremony will be livestreamed on the University Chaplaincy website.
5–8 p.m.: SMFA Year-End Celebration honoring graduating Master of Fine Arts, Post Baccalaureate, Combined Degree, and Bachelor of Fine Arts students. This event will feature the 2026 BFA Senior Thesis Exhibition, Until We Run Out of Space, and work by the 2026 Annual Student Awards winners and students from the 2026 Post Baccalaureate Certificate Program. Sunday, May 17
9 a.m.: The 170th All-University Commencement Ceremony
This event will feature remarks by President Kumar and the conferral of degrees by the Tufts University Board of Trustees. The ceremony will also recognize those individuals from the faculty and administration who have been granted emeritus status and the University will award honorary degrees to distinguished individuals. Ken Frazier, chairman of General Catalyst’s Health Assurance initiatives and former president, CEO, and executive chairman of Merck, will deliver the Commencement address. On The Green between Ballou and Bendetson Halls, Medford. The ceremony will be livestreamed; a link will be posted on the Commencement website on May 17 at 9 a.m.
11:30 a.m.: School of Engineering Phase II Ceremony with remarks from Deans Kyongbum Lee and Andrew Ramsburg, and from David V. Rosowsky, E85, EG87, Senior Advisor to President Michael Crow at Arizona State University, a nationally recognized leader in higher education innovation, and Tufts School of Engineering Board of Advisors Member. On The Green between Ballou and Bendetson Halls.
