Green Tip - Happy Earth Day!
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit brought to you by Friends of the Environment:
Today is Earth Day. What are you going to do for the planet? Plastic pollution is an enormous problem. According to National Geographic, ninety percent of the plastic items in our daily lives are used once and then discarded: grocery bags, plastic wrap, disposable cutlery, straws, coffee-cup lids, and Styrofoam take out containers. But the largest source of single use plastic is from bottled water. Each year, close to 20 billion plastic water bottles are tossed in the trash. Most single use plastics have a useful life span of mere minutes to hours, yet the plastics can persist in the environment for hundreds of years. Will you commit to being a more responsible consumer? You can buy reusable straws, use reusable food containers, take reusable shopping bags to the store, and use biodegradable garbage bags. But one of the single biggest impacts you could have is to stop buying plastic bottles of water. Carry a reusable water bottle with you as you go about your day and refill it with our excellent quality tap water. Save money and save the environment.

Irrigation Lawn Maintenance
Please visit the landscaping section of our website for all timelines and updates related to irrigation and lawn maintenance. Our goal is to become more sustainable this season, using less water, fewer herbicides, and more environmentally friendly products. With the community's help, we can take a giant step forward in reaching these goals. The landscaping crew has a primary goal of keeping RVR immaculacy maintained, but we would like to do that as sustainably as possible. Another important reminder—please report any irrigation leaks in the areas under RVRMA management. A big portion of water waste occurs when maintenance emergencies arise, we can use your eyes and ears! Happy Spring everyone, nice to see the trees budding and the grass turning green again!
