Dear Colleagues,
As the President’s Listening and Learning Community (PLLC) enters its third year, I am inviting self-nominations from colleagues across all employee groups who are interested in contributing to this ongoing forum for listening, learning, and shared problem-solving. The PLLC has become a valuable way for me to hear directly from employees across campus, learn from a range of experiences and perspectives, and better understand the opportunities and challenges shaping our work together.
From the self-nominations received, I will select 10-15 representatives from the following employee groups:
- Tenured or tenure-track faculty
- Non-tenure track faculty (lecturers)
- Part-time faculty (adjuncts)
- UUP and PEF professionals
- Classified staff
- M/C staff
The group will meet 6–9 times over the academic year. While this is voluntary and uncompensated work, meals will be provided at each meeting. More importantly, your participation will directly contribute to making our campus a stronger, more connected, and more inclusive community. If you choose to nominate yourself, please consider this a yearlong commitment and prioritize attending the meetings to ensure the experience is meaningful for all participants.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to share your voice and to help shape the future of our institution.
With appreciation,
Darrell P. Wheeler
President
