Week four preparation checklist:
The deadline for submitting abstracts to the Undergraduate Research Symposium has been extended an additional week to April 24.
The application deadline for all GEO fall programs has been extended to June 1.
CAREER SUCCESS
  • Career readiness coaches in the University Career Center are available by phone or video for scheduled appointments or virtual drop-in hours.  
  • Connect with UO alumni for interview advice and job searching tips by registering for the Duck Networking Webchat on April 22.
  • Over 7,500 jobs and internships are posted for UO students on Handshake. Share your career interests in your profile and Handshake will recommend events, articles, and jobs. 
  • Handshake isn’t just for jobs and internships; you can find downloadable handouts covering topics like resume-writing and interviewing, and other tips on career success.
  • Ready to apply for positions in business? Attend BizPaths on April 22 to learn how to put your best foot forward with recruiters.

  • The Warsaw Sports Marketing Center is hosting a virtual WNBA Draft Party on YouTube live tomorrow, April 17 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Students in Eugene can grab a free DIY Fun Kit with supplies for a bookmark scratch pad and a snack from the Student Activities Board outside the Fishbowl on Monday, April 20, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • The BE Series and UO Sexual Violence Prevention and Education are co-hosting a relationship red flag pop culture trivia night on Tuesday, April 21, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
  • Join the live Loan Repayment Workshop on Zoom Wednesday, April 22, 3:00–4:00 p.m. to learn how to successfully repay student loans. Registration required.
  • Chat with UOPD Chief Carmichael via Zoom Wednesday, April 22, 6:00–7:00 p.m.
