June Happenings
We hope you're enjoying the summer weather. Here's what's in store this summer:
  • First Annual Tutor Retreat: We had a great time at our first annual Retreat on Saturday. Check out a few pictures from the event.
  • New Furniture: If you've been by the Jefferson School lately, you may have noticed some new furniture in the hallways outside the Literacy Volunteers office. These pieces were donated by Rose and Rob Capon and Better Living to help solve our limited space issue. If you need a place to meet with your student, explore the hallways!
  • Joy of Writing: Our latest edition of our student story collection, The Joy of Writing, will be out in mid-July. Stay tuned for details on a potluck celebrating its arrival!
  • Summer Reading Selfies: Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook to take part in our Summer Reading Selfie series in July. We'll be posting pictures of students, tutors, and staff with their favorite summer reads!

For more information about any of these events, email Amie.
Summer is traditionally a slow fundraising time, yet expenses run high for bills that need to be paid before the fiscal year ends. Please consider making a donation today!
