Charger Study Space: Safe, Open, Outdoor

Cypress College is providing a new, safe study space on campus for students to use throughout the fall semester starting Wednesday, September 16. All students will be receiving an email from the college soon providing much more detailed information about this service and how to use it.

Appointments for two-hour blocks are mandatory and may be made in the COVID-19 module in the college's Cypress Connect app. The app is available on both the App Store for Apple products and Google Play Store for Android products.
Students will also need to fill out a wellness check form, also available in the COVID-19 module, each time before coming onto campus.
Students will be expected to adhere to health and safety protocols, including wearing a mask and social distancing.

As part of the goal to improve student civic engagement, California colleges and universities have been asked to participate in the second Ballot Bown, a competition encouraging students to register and vote. Cal Poly San Luis Obispo won the last Ballot Bowl with over 3,000 registrations. Can Cypress College win this year? To do so, we need your help!

Hispanic Heritage Month Events Kick Off This Week

Hispanic Heritage Month 2020 - Celebrating 25 Years of the Puente Program at Cypress College

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month 2020, the Puente Program at Cypress College — now in its 25th year — is hosting a variety of events starting September 17.

Participate in the Instagram Kickoff by sharing your own Hispanic pride story using the hashtag #cypuente. Then participate in the Opening Celebration with Obed Silva in a talk about the significance of Hispanic Heritage Month in today's world climate.

Food Pantry Drive-Through Distribution

Cypress College offers on-campus "drive-through" food distribution once a week each Wednesday at 9 a.m.-12 p.m. throughout the fall semester. Weekly registration is required for this service to help our efforts managing inventory. Registration opens every Thursday and closes the following Monday.
