Dear Parents and Students,

Earlier in the fall, we asked all families to choose between full eLearning and our current in-person approach. In that letter, we asked you to make a commitment through the middle of the semester. Now that we are at the midway point, we are reaching out again.

This semester has been a blessing but it has also presented challenges. We have our A group, B group, eLearners and an ever-changing group of quarantined students that our faculty works with on a daily basis. As a result, the administrative aspect of our teachers’ jobs has increased exponentially. While it is impossible to eliminate the fluid nature of this school year, we want to limit it as much as possible.

All students that are currently eLearning full-time must notify their counselor if they plan to return to in-person learning or will remain eLearning by Friday, October 23rd. If you decide to return to Fenwick for in-person instruction you must be in school on Monday, October 26th.

If you are currently a student that is coming to school but want to move to eLearning, you must have a medical reason. Please reach out to your child’s counselor to begin the process no later than Friday, October 23rd.

Please remember that if you are eLearning you must abide by all classroom guidelines and expectations. Students must participate in all live-streaming sessions and activities as outlined by the instructor. If a student will miss any class or classroom-related activities, the parents must call the school’s attendance office to let them know they will not be in attendance.

We will continue to evaluate our approach and make any other necessary changes at the end of this semester.

Thank you for everything that you are doing to make this school year possible. We are so excited to be back working with our students.
Sincerely,

Peter Groom
Principal
