Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program- Application will be open
October 9-22! This highly selective, rigorous leadership program recruits recent graduates (who completed an advanced degree two years prior to the application opening date) and current graduate students (who will complete an advanced degree by August 31st the following year) annually in the fall. Here is a sampling of degrees and disciplines for which the Federal Government has projected a need:
- Accounting/Finance
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Engineering (all disciplines)
- Environmental Sciences
- Health/Medical Science
- Human Resources
- Information Technology
- Public Administration & Public Policy
- Public Health
- Telecommunications
In addition, the Federal Government has a specific need for degrees and disciplines related to: Cybersecurity and Privacy. Fellows receive: Two-year paid fellowships, Competitive Pay and Benefits, and Leadership Development Training. See

American Association of Japanese University Woman (AAJUW) Scholarship- Deadline:
October 31! The American Association of Japanese University Women (AAJUW) is currently accepting scholarship applications for 2018. AAJUW was founded in 1970 to promote the education of women, as well as to contribute to U.S. – Japan relations, cultural exchanges, and development of leadership. Since the founding of the organization, scholarships have been awarded every year to outstanding female students. This year each awardee will receive a $2,000 scholarship. Must demonstrate a desire and intent to fulfill a leadership role in your chosen field of study and to be a contributor to U.S.-Japan relations and cultural exchanges.
Lead for America Fellowship- Deadline: November 1. LFA is a nonpartisan two-year paid fellowship program for recent grads dedicated to building community through strengthening and transforming local government institutions. Fellows serve in cities and towns across the country, but we place a particular emphasis on selecting and supporting Fellows who see the Fellowship as a means of continuing service to a community, particularly if that community currently struggles to attract and retain talent.

College Fix’s Paid Journalism Fellowship, Spring 2019- Deadline:
October 15! During the spring of 2019, the Student Free Press Association, parent organization for The College Fix, will offer paid internships at Washington, D.C.-based media organizations. During the spring of 2019, the Student Free Press Association, parent organization for The College Fix, will offer paid internships at Washington, D.C.-based media organizations.The internships are open to all college students and recent college graduates. SFPA will match its intern with an appropriate host organization. Previous fellows have worked at National Review, Real Clear Politics, Daily Caller, The Hill, Reason Magazine, The Washington Examiner, USA Today and The Weekly Standard. The internship will run for about 14 weeks, beginning sometime in January or February. The specific start and end dates will be determined with the intern and media organization. SFPA will provide a stipend of $7,000.
School of Education
Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellowship (AEF) Program- Deadline: November 15. A unique opportunity for accomplished K-12 educators in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) to serve in the national education arena. Fellows spend eleven months working in Federal agencies or in U.S. Congressional offices, applying their extensive knowledge and classroom experiences to national education program and/or education policy efforts. At the end of the Fellowship, educators are prepared to return home, equipped with access to a national network of education leaders and programs, a better understanding of the challenges and possibilities in STEM education, and a renewed passion for teaching, ready to make significant contributions to their schools and school districts.
