Keep Every Roo Safe!

We’re so glad you’re back on campus. Together, we can keep UMKC safe for all Roos. Our community members are expected to take proactive steps to monitor their personal health, stay home if they are feeling unwell and take measures to help protect our entire community.

Based on CDC recommendations for universities, here is what UMKC asks us to keep in mind:
Health and Safety.

Student Spotlight: Daishanae Crittenden

This week we would like to introduce you to Daishanae Crittenden. She is a Senior in the UMKC SOE Elementary Education program. Since being at UMKC, Daishanae has enjoyed meeting so many people, not only from around the city and state, but from around the world! Her favorite place on the UMKC campus is the Student Success Area – where she works, in the School of Education. Daishanae says, “it’s very peaceful and I love interacting with the students.
Her favorite place to visit in Kansas City is Loose Park because before her and her boyfriend came to KC this school year, one of their favorite places to visit in St. Louis (where both of them are from) was Forest Park.
Forest Park in St. Louis is someplace meaningful to her, which is where her photo above is taken. Say hello to Daishanae, and congratulate her on starting her senior year at UMKC. She is one step closer to being a full-time teacher!
