Notre Dame Circle celebrates contributions of women students and graduates

The newest landmark on campus, Notre Dame Circle, was dedicated Friday, September 19. The circle honors the invaluable contributions of women students and graduates. President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., together with Presidents Emeriti Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., and Rev. Edward “Monk” Malloy, C.S.C., led the dedication.

An electronic nose developed by ND researchers is helping sniff out bird flu biomarkers for faster detection and fewer sick birds—helping farmers protect their flocks and livelihoods.

To catch a thief: Banks that identify fraudsters increase loyalty

In a new research study, Vamsi Kanuri, the Viola D. Hank Associate Professor of Marketing in the Mendoza College of Business, found that a bank that successfully catches fraud and protects its customers earns a stronger, more permanent reputation for competence.

Empowering girls through partnership: Women’s ERG and Girls on the Run Michiana

Notre Dame’s women’s employee resource group, Thrive!, has partnered with Girls on the Run Michiana to empower and uplift young girls as they prepared for and completed their end-of-season 5k this past May. Now entering its third year, this partnership has supported more than 300 girls from 14 schools throughout the Michiana area.

Hesburgh Libraries’ Rare Books and Special Collections exhibit explores global reach of Dante’s Divine Comedy

This exhibit traces the global journey of Dante’s masterpiece through rare and valuable printed editions, highlighting how translators, artists, and printers have popularized and reshaped the Commedia. These volumes reveal a dynamic dialogue between Dante’s poetry and the world.
