Are You REALLY Prepared for Spring Classes? |
Important Academic Integrity Updates |
Academic Integrity cases are more technologically complex than in the past, and are bringing to light areas where students lack knowledge of how to do appropriate academic work. As you prepare for the new semester, think about how to talk with your students about GenAI, proper source use and citation, Proctorio or Turnitin, and specific academic integrity guidelines for your class.
See the updated Academic Integrity issues document from Brenda Quaye, Assistant Director for Academic Integrity, to learn why students are committing academic integrity violations, get tips and resources on how to prevent or detect dishonesty (Canvas tools), and what to do if you suspect academic dishonesty.

Assigning Group Work This Spring? |
Group work helps students engage with course material, develop relationships with their classmates, and gain new perspectives. But students can be reluctant to participate in group work, especially if they have had bad experiences in the past. This Faculty Focus article, curated by CTE Faculty Teaching Associate Anne Whitesell, Political Science, discusses different ways of forming groups to best fit your assignments and learning outcomes.
