Dogs Off Leash
In recent weeks we have witnessed and received reports of dogs off leash in RVR. In some cases, these pets have been seen chasing deer and even confronting other dogs aggressively.
Please practice courteous dog ownership and keep your dogs on a leash!
Click here to read Carbondale's Leash Laws.
Click here for an article from the Coloradoan newspaper about this issue. Here's a preview: Colorado Parks and Wildlife has a simple message for dog owners: Keep them under control and away from deer, elk and other wild animals, or face fines or even the loss of your dog.
Chip and Seal
Please be advised, chip and seal road work in RVR is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 10 and will be completed by Wednesday, May 12. The contractor will begin the process on North Bridge on May 10 and work their way south to get as much as they can the first day. On May 11, the Thompson Corner area as well as Holland-Thompson, Lamprecht, Ferguson and Boyd will be worked on. Whatever work remains after May 11 will wrap up by May 12. Once the chip seal has been placed on a roadway, folks are welcome to resume parking in that area.

Vehicle Parking & Storage in RVR

Over the past several weeks we have been featuring important information regarding the Vehicle Parking, Storage, Operation and Repair portion of our Master Declaration to educate the community on what vehicles are and are not allowed at RVR.
Management will be identifying any parking instances that need to be addressed to gain compliance, as well as answer any questions RVR residents may have regarding their particular vehicle.
Written notices will be given to identify any possible non-compliance’s. We hope to achieve community wide compliance in April to be ready for an active spring and summer. Starting May 1, Notices of Violation and Fines will be issued.
Deer Fencing Deadline
The deer fencing removal deadline is Friday, May 15. You may remove fencing at any time but must have it down and properly stored by the deadline.

Water Aerobics Returns!
It's that time of year again! We are happy to share that beginning Tuesday, May 25, Water Aerobics class with JoAnn Scott will return every Tuesday and Thursday at 9 a.m.

Animal Frolics Qigong and Meditation
Have you ever tried to walk like an elephant, fly like a bird, gather fruit like a monkey, or swim like a dragon? It’s fun!
Using visualization, relaxation and the story of the animals we can connect to nature. We enjoy the ability to let go of frustrations and worry, to allow our energy to flow inside us and to connect with the beauty, harmony and peacefulness of nature.   After all, we are part of nature!
We feel energized as we prance like a deer. We feel peaceful as we soar like a crane.
We will end our session with a calming meditation to find the balance of the yin and the yang, the fast and the slow, the hard and the soft.
Please join us on Sunday, May 2 at 4 p.m. on Zoom as we frolic with the animals and connect with our own inner peace.
If you have never done Qigong, try it. No experience is required. The animal frolics are usually done standing, but if you want to sit down that works too. The meditation is done seated in a chair or on a cushion. We will want to have a straight spine so please find a seat that is comfortable for you.
Please note, the Zoom link for this workshop is different from the link for the Qigong classes.
