| Pavilion Dedicated to Former District Manager Darrell Windes
To honor his 32 years of service to Ken-Caryl Ranch, the new outdoor shade pavilion at the Community Center was dedicated to former District Manager Darrell Windes yesterday. The pavilion was constructed as part of the bond projects, which Darrell was instrumental in implementing. Thank you for your commitment to Ken-Caryl Ranch, Darrell!

| Master Association Board Member Resigns
In mid-January, Master Association Board Member Andrew Roberts submitted his resignation from the Board. The Board President announced Andrew’s resignation at the Jan. 17 Master Association Board meeting. Per the bylaws, the Board will appoint someone to fill the remainder of his term, which expires in March 2018. The Board decided to wait until after the Board election to appoint a replacement. They intend to appoint someone at the March 21 Board meeting. The Master Association would like to thank Andrew for his service.

Come check out the Ken-Caryl Ranch Fitness Center at the Open House on Saturday, Jan. 28 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.! This free event at the Community Center is open to the whole family and will feature food, chair massages, fitness assessments, door prizes, bottled water and coffee. Plus, there will be three free fitness classes that day: Spin at 8:30 a.m., Yoga at 9 a.m. and Zumba at 9:30 a.m.

| Final Call for Master Association Board Candidate ApplicationsLast chance to submit your application for the Master Association Board! Applications are due by 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27. There are two seats on the Board that will be on the ballot. The seat that recently opened due to a resignation will not be on the ballot because the bylaws require the Board to appoint a new member when there is a resignation. The candidates will be introduced to the community in the Feb. 8 Life at Ken-Caryl newspaper and on the website. Residents will receive a postcard in the mail in mid-February with voting instructions. The election closes March 7 at 5 p.m., and the winners will be announced soon after on the website. | Return Your Proxy Form for a Chance to Win a Free Month of DuesEach property owner on Ken-Caryl Ranch should have received a proxy slip either in the mail or via email in mid-December. The proxies serve to establish quorum (simple majority) at the Master Association Annual Meeting on March 7. The proxy does not grant your voting privileges to anyone. Residents need to sign and return their proxy slip because 2,462 signed proxies are needed to hold the Annual Meeting. Download a Proxy Form and email it to annettec@kcranch.org. You can also fax it to 303-972-1272, drop it off at the Ranch House or mail it to KCRMA, 7676 S. Continental Divide Road, Littleton, CO 80127. The Master Association will have a drawing for one free month of dues. To be entered into the drawing, just return your proxy prior to the Annual Meeting on March 7.

Thin It to Win It Fitness Challenge
Be your best YOU this year! The Thin It to Win It Fitness Challenge will run Feb. 4 through March 18. All participants will receive fitness and nutrition tips as well as a new workout to try each week. Included in the registration fee is access to 30-minute fitness classes, equipment orientations, body fat assessments and more!

| Ken-Caryl Ranch Water & Sewer Rate Increases for 2017
Because of increases in costs of providing water and sanitary sewer service, including increases by Denver Water for wholesale water service and the City of Littleton for sewage treatment service, rates for Ken-Caryl Ranch water and sanitary sewer service will increase effective Feb. 1. The 2017 minimum residential bi-monthly water charge will be $53.39 for the first 10,000 gallons; that’s an increase of 53 cents on your minimum bi-monthly water bill. Residential customers will see their bi-monthly sewer bill increase by $1.12 to $57.03 effective Feb. 1.
