Green Tip
Have you heard of the Dirty Dozen? It's an annual list published each spring of 12 fruits and vegetables that generally have the highest pesticide levels. Tests are conducted after the food has been washed thoroughly, as we would at home. The US Department of Agriculture advises folks to grow your own or buy organic versions of anything on the Dirty Dozen list when you can, since too much pesticide exposure can cause numerous health issues. This year's list is organized from most to least contaminated: 1. strawberries, 2. spinach, 3. kale, collard, and mustard greens, 4. peaches, 5. pears, 6. nectarines, 7. apples, 8. grapes, 9. bell and hot peppers, 10. cherries, 11. blueberries, and 12. green beans.

Did You Know?
RVR is a special place and there are many details about the community that many may not be aware of. To help inform homeowners about all of RVR's unique features, we will run a "Did You Know" section each week in the newsletter.
New owners often ask, "How does delivery of the US Mail work at RVR?"
The central mail facility for all of RVR is located in the foyer of the Ranch House. The mail is delivered by the United States Postal Service (USPS) and the mailroom is considered to be a US Postal facility. The foyer is open 24 hours a day, year-round for mail pick-up and drop-off. While the mail is being delivered, there is no access to the mailroom until the USPS has completed delivery.

Informed Delivery by USPS
Informed delivery is a service that allows you to see photos of your mail before it arrives for free. This is a great way to track your mail so that you know when to stop by the Ranch House to collect it! Click here to learn more.
