Supporting School-Based Healthcare
Council Member Little recently allocated $75,000 from the District 2 Council Improvement Fund to HEALS, Inc. CEO Heather Mason and Chief Development Officer Risha Sanderson to support its mission of delivering medical, dental and optometry care to underserved children in Huntsville. HEALS, Inc. works in partnership with local school systems and healthcare providers to offer accessible, school-based health services for children and helping bridge critical gaps in care across our community.

Resolute Way Infrastructure Project
The City has entered a funding agreement with the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) for the first phase of the Resolute Way project, which will create direct access to Redstone Arsenal from I-565. The improvement is expected to ease congestion along the heavily traveled I-565/Research Park Boulevard corridor, enhancing safety and traffic flow for more than 140,000 daily commuters.
