Applications for 2019-2020 VECD Fogarty Global Health Fellows Cohort are Open

The Global Health Fellowship Program is a one-year NIH-funded research training program for pre- and post-doctoral trainees from Vanderbilt, Emory, Cornell and Duke Universities and partner institutions interested in working in low-resource settings. The program is sponsored by the Fogarty International Center (FIC).

This month, VIGH faculty members and anesthesiologists from Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) traveled to Liberia to evaluate medical education and training initiatives.

Vanderbilt welcomes the newest Master of Public Health (MPH) class of students pursing a Global Health track MPH degree. Welcome, class of 2020. 
The Global Health track is designed to educate innovative and effective public health professionals in the development and management of effective global health initiatives, to contribute to sound public health policies and practices, and to engage in meaningful partnerships with communities.

VIGH Affiliated Faculty Member Receives Jefferson Award

VIGH affiliated faculty member Brian L. Heuser, Ed.D., M.T.S., recently received the Thomas Jefferson Award "for distinguished service to Vanderbilt through extraordinary contributions as a member of the faculty in the councils and government of the university" at the Vanderbilt Fall Faculty Assembly on August 23. Dr. Heuser is an assistant professor of the Practice of International Education Policy in the Department of Leadership, Policy, and Organizations (LPO) at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University. Kudos, Brian!
