Coming Together
February 12-15, 2015

Coming Together is an opportunity for members of  student interfaith or multi-faith councils to gather and swap notes about what it means to be in community with one another in a campus setting. It will involve several panels, keynotes and breakout sessions that will engage on a variety of issues such as the unique challenges and advantages of building interfaith communities on a university campus, strategies for sustaining spiritual wellbeing and the role of religious identity in the educational landscape.
Each college or university is invited to nominate up to three students to be part of CT7. Nominations are due no later than November 21. Email Greg McGonigle if you are interested in participating. All students will receive free room and board.
Although students will be exploring the various niches of our diverse faith community, they will also engage in some fun activities such as attending the Yale Repertory Theater’s world premiere of the play Familiar and a Valentine’s Day Choral Fest. From sharing conversations with their peers to witnessing the sights of Yale, I truly hope the conference will create a lasting, endearing memory for all participants. Please contact our University Chaplain if you are interested in this program.

Seeds of Peace - For Commited Ambassitors of Peace and Understanding
Seeds of Peace (SOP) works to support young Palestinians and Israelis to become leaders of peace.  Based on the belief that “treaties are negotiated by governments; peace is made by people,” SOP brings together youth, and community educators, from both sides of intractable conflicts in the Middle East and South Asia to provide an opportunity to make deep connections with ‘the other side.’ While difficult work goes into these connections, they help transform the ways participants understand their conflict and the changes needed to create a viable peace. Once participants return home, SOP continues to offer critical support as they endeavor to become leaders of change. We will need people with varied skillsets, from graphic design, event planning, marketing, fundraising, and beyond, so no matter what your background, we would love to have you on board. If you or someone you know would be interested, please contact, tufts alum, Ati Waldman (ati.waldman@gmail.com) and Sarah Blinka (sarah.blinka@gmail.com).
