We are pleased to announce that Sona Patel, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology, has been appointed Director of Assessment after an open, competitive search process. Dr. Patel will continue as a faculty member in the School of Health and Medical Sciences, where she runs a highly successful lab and several grant-funded projects, but in this new capacity she will also work with faculty to facilitate more efficient, impactful, and comprehensive assessment in all academic programs. Dr. Patel brings significant experience with assessment and accreditation from her work at SHMS and significant knowledge of academic affairs from her ongoing work on the Faculty Senate executive committee. Congratulations and welcome, Sona!
