Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs fully approved, again, by Virginia Board of Nursing |
George Mason University’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing programs have been fully approved, again, by Virginia’s Board of Nursing. Reapproval affirms that all of George Mason’s traditional and accelerated BSN pre-licensure programs meet Virginia regulations and requirements for educating nurses prior to their licensure examination.

Congratulations to Rebecca Sutter, DNP, RN, Professor, Nursing, for her award from the Administration for Children and Families for her project entitled, "Services to Afghan Survivors Impacted by Combat (SASIC), Healing and Educating Afghans for Resilience (HEAR VA)." This is a very large, $3 million project over 20 months.

Copy Editing Service ($15 per hour): Research Development Services is pleased to provide copy editing services for faculty wishing to receive input on the grammar, syntax, layout and overall presentation of their grant applications. This work will be performed by graduate and advanced undergraduate students who are receiving technical editing training at George Mason. The rate is $15 per hour.
All submissions must be provided at least 2 weeks before the George Mason internal submission deadline.
Please note, this editing will not provide commentary on scientific, technical or research merits of the proposal. All applications will be kept confidential.

Latest Updates for Canvas Implementation |
The first wave of course migrations, covering summer 2022 through spring 2024, is complete. Unless you or your program has chosen to use Canvas, all fall courses will be in Blackboard.
The next migration phase is September.
To opt into Canvas, complete the Canvas Opt In form. The September migration phase will include Blackboard Organizations that meet Canvas Use Guidelines.
There are several types of courses in Canvas. Course types include Semester, Sandboxes, Migrated, Development, and Community, each serving different purposes. Requests for these courses can be submitted here.
