Reminder: Track initiation of attendance |
Instructors are required to record initiation of attendance for each student registered in their classes in order to comply with federal Title IV regulations. Initiation of attendance must be recorded in the Class List & Initiation of Attendance link in Banweb by the end of the second week of the term. Students you have not reported as initiating attendance in the first two weeks may be required to return a portion of their financial aid. Review the Faculty Guide to Initiation of Attendance to learn what constitutes initiation of attendance and how to satisfy the requirement.

Clarification: Adjusting course schedules for investiture ceremony is recommended |
During the final week of winter term, PSU faculty received an email from Interim Provost Shelly Chabon about adjusting their class schedules so faculty and students can attend President Ann Cudd’s investiture ceremony on Friday, May 10, from 9 - 11 a.m. Because we'd like to include as many members of our community in the celebration, canceling classes that morning is recommended but not required.

Pick up cleaning supplies from PSU Materials Management |
As Portland State University begins the Spring Term, this is a reminder to restock any hand sanitizers, disinfectant wipes, or face masks for office suites, conference rooms, and department-controlled classrooms and labs. Supplies were purchased through the COVID Relief funds by the university, and are the last of the free supplies available to departments. Once supplies are gone, departments will need to purchase their own. Materials Management has 2-liter Purell hand sanitizer bottles, antibacterial wipe containers, and KN95 masks.
All materials are free of charge and available to PSU departments. You can pick up these supplies from the University Services Building Mail Center front desk (USB 114) with a valid PSU ID.
Thank you for your ongoing efforts to keep our community healthy and safe.
