AI4ALL@GRASP
The GRASP lab and AI4ALL have partnered to teach Artificial Intelligence (AI) to high school students in the Philadelphia area. Students will experience lectures, hands-on learning, and mentorship as they learn the fundamentals of AI, its application to robotics, and its impact on society. High school students interested in Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and the social impact of these technologies should join this 2-week daytime summer program. City-Wide UpdatesThe City of Philadelphia’s effort to inoculate teachers, principals, and staff of all schools is now underway with the launch of an initial clinic at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Roberts Center for Pediatric Research. The program will continue in the coming weeks and expand to pop-up clinics located in school buildings throughout the city.

Penn UpdatesA new position in the University of Pennsylvania Police Department (UPPD) is dedicated to working with the campus and local Philadelphia communities on issues of diversity. Nicole McCoy, a former lieutenant, was promoted to captain and is the Division of Public Safety’s new commanding officer of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

NASA provides a safe place for children to play as they learn about NASA and its missions. On this site, you will find games of various skill levels for children pre-K through grade 4. Women’s History Month STEM Career Chat
Join Exelon STEM Leadership Academy on March 22nd from 5:30 pm-6:30 pm to learn from women working in the energy utility field in honor of Women's History Month! Hear from women that help provide energy to their communities safely and reliably. Students will get to ask questions about their careers, education, and much more. Participants must be young women in 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade or STEM Academy alumnae. Participants must have computer and internet access and be interested in fully participating in the Zoom session by sharing video. Click HERE to learn more!

Black-led project makes open call for submissions about 2020 George Floyd protestsHow should Black Philadelphians remember the protests that rocked Philadelphia over the police killing of George Floyd last year?
A new Black-led project aims to answer that question and foster the discussion around the Black resistance movement here.
The Paul Robeson House and Museum and literary organization Blue Stoop are seeking submissions from individuals who participated in the protests over police brutality and structural racism for a project informally dubbed the Philadelphia Black Uprising of 2020 project. Click HERE to learn more!

If you need to get more comfortable with the digital world for work or just want to explore, OIC’s Computer Literacy classes sponsored by Comcast Internet Essentials can help get you started. Computer Basics class subjects include parts of the desktop computer, laptop computers and netbooks, understanding operating systems, programs and applications, Wi-Fi basics (modem, router, LAN), introduction to the internet, internet safety, search engine basics, and more.

WPSDI No-Cost CDL Training and Jop Opportunities
WPSDI is searching for customer-service superstars who have had a valid driver’s license for at least the last three years, who have open schedule availability, and who possess an interest in growing a career at SEPTA. Training is online, but testing is in-person. Access to a laptop or desktop computer, broadband internet, a webcam, and a word processing program like Microsoft Word or similar are essential to training completion.
