ANYTHING BUT A SILENT RETREATLast week, our vocal ensembles and studio classes went on retreat to learn about how spirituality can connect to singing and movement. They had a great experience bonding together as a group and stepping away from the busy-ness of the day-to-day to reflect on their gifts.

COAT DRIVE FOR REFUGEE FAMILIESNico Ihlendorf '24 is partnering with Catholic Charities to organize a coat drive for refugees being resettled in the area. The refugees assisted by Catholic Charities often come from warm countries and do not have coats. Catholic Charities supplies them a coat as soon as they meet them at the airport. They are currently very low on coats going into the fall.
HOW TO HELP
On Monday, October 2 through Friday, October 13, there will be bins to collect coats in both the gym and main lobbies. There is a particular need for men’s coats in sizes small and medium. Catholic Charities could also use women’s coats and teen boys’ coats. Please consider bringing in any new or gently used coats to support refugees being resettled in our community.

INSIDE PREP STORY OF THE WEEKDay in the Life of Mr. Kaplan
Written by Molly Dolan, Managing Editor
“Three words I would use to describe Mr. Kaplan are energetic, passionate, and hilarious,” says Leah Berg ‘25. “He’s definitely one of my favorite teachers ever, and not just from high school. He makes it easy to learn because you can tell he’s very passionate about math.”
This seems to be a common thought of Mr. Michael Kaplan, who has taught at Brebeuf for 4 years, for a lot of students. He is known for creating a lively environment around him with his classic dad jokes, high energy, and fun teaching style.
