Facilities Requests:
From time to time, your Wildcat's residence hall or room may require attention. Whether it's broken blinds, pest control, common area/restroom cleaning or supplies or a heating/cooling issue, please remind your Villanovan to file a request online so it can be recorded, assigned, tracked and completed efficiently. Villanovans can report concerns easily—24 hours a day, seven days a week—using the simple form found on the Maintenance Request page. If the issue requires immediate attention, students can call the Facilities Maintenance Office Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., at 610-519-4420; after hours, students can call Public Safety at 610-519-5800.

Housing Selection:
Rising sophomore housing selection will take place Monday, March 23 through Friday, March 27. The housing selection process is outlined online, and you can also watch a recording of our February Parent and Family Webinar on the Rising Sophomore Housing Selection Process to preview campus life on the Villanova and Cabrini campuses.
If your Villanovan did not attend our tours of the Cabrini Campus in January, but would still like an opportunity to tour residence halls and check out the Dixon Center, please encourage them to register for our Cabrini Campus Visits on Friday, March 20. Space is limited and registration is required.
|
Course Selection:
At the end of March, once Housing Selection is complete, your rising sophomore will register for classes for the Fall 2026 semester. In advance of their course selection, there are steps your Villanovan can take to plan ahead. The Office of the Registrar has prepared a toolkit; encourage your Wildcat to review and use the planning tools that are available to them, including:

Online Self Scheduling at the Student Health Center |
|
|
|
If your Wildcat is feeling under the weather, or would like to schedule testing, please remind them that it's easy to make an appointment online to be seen at the Student Health Center. Students can call 610-519-4070 or use the secure online scheduling feature to schedule an appointment with a health care provider convenient for them, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. The Student Health Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week—while the University is open—and staffed by health care professionals during the evening and overnight hours.

As your student begins to look ahead to summer, they may be considering taking a summer class. With course registration advising getting underway in mid-March, remind your student to discuss options with their advisor. They can also begin by reviewing the courses offered online and in-person through Summer Sessions at Villanova. If the course needed is not offered in the online format through Villanova, the student may seek approval from their college to take the class elsewhere. Encourage them to review the requirements and process for their college using the links below:

Villanova's location is often described as being along the "Main Line." This nickname for the communities located west of Philadelphia surfaced in the 1830s as towns developed along the main line of the Pennsylvania Railroad, which ran through Villanova.
Villanova and Philadelphia continue to be accessible by train! Located just 12 miles west of the city, Villanova has two South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) train stations on campus. Villanovans can purchase re-loadable SEPTA Key Cards (cash or Wildcard only) to pay for transportation through the Office of Student Involvement (OSI), located in Dougherty Hall. OSI also provides detailed instructions to students on how to load and use their transportation cards.
