Visitors from California and Singapore (friends of Juliet Huam, who coordinates our PHUMC Homeless Ministry) visited recently to learn more about our work at Grace Place. These visitors, generous supporters of this ministry from afar, wanted to get a first-hand look. They jumped right in to serve. If you would like to help volunteer with this ministry, contact Juliet.

Beds Delivered

Our first beds since we restarted our ministry have been delivered! Thank you, PHUMC family, for helping kids in our community have a safe, comforting place to rest. To join our efforts, head down to the basement carpentry shop after Wednesday dinner, contact the church office about helping with deliveries, or hit the link to donate to our Bunk Bed Ministry.
You're invited to join us for lunch, bingo, fellowship and a time of giving thanks for our many blessings.  Tuesday, October 25 at 11:00 am in the Worship Center.  We do ask that you RSVP by October 23 so we know how much food to prepare.  You may call the church office or click here.

Adults, get involved in what God is doing in our ministry! We need a dinner provider and adult volunteer for this Sunday, October 16, as well as help with our 5th Quarter Pancake Dinner. Click the links to get signed up or contact Geoff for more info.

ENGAGE is back after fall break, 5:30-7:30pm, Sunday, October 16.

Rev. Haven Boyd recently joined the Quilters to bless the quilts, which will soon find their way to children in distress. Quilters meet every Monday in the Garden Room
from noon to 3:00.
PHUMC Youth Director Geoff Davidson and Pastor Haven Boyd graciously accept a large load of canned goods from Myesha Holmes and her Girl Scout Troop #4396 this week. The troop, which meets on our campus every other week, selected collecting canned goods for those in need as a community project. The canned goods will be delivered to MadCAAP to distribute.
Pastor Haven Boyd helps unload the 77 mattresses that were delivered to the church in preparation for delivering beds for the Bunk Bed Ministry.
Mary Lee Reed carries a mattress.
