Road Repairs in the Community

Some residents have inquired about recent road repairs on Ken-Caryl Ranch. Jefferson County owns the streets and does all street maintenance and repairs. The Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association and Metropolitan District do not handle road repairs or snow removal for the streets. You can see weekly construction schedules online for Jefferson County Road & Bridge or call them at 303-271-5219 with any questions or concerns.

Residents Can Purchase KCRMD Tax-Exempt Bonds Beginning Tomorrow

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District (KCRMD) is planning on going to market with its $7.9 million bond offering later this week. The authorization for the KCRMD to issue bonds was approved by voters in a May 2014 election. Prior to the public sale of the bonds, KCRMD will be offering the sale of bonds to residents of Ken-Caryl Ranch in advance of the general public from Tuesday, Sept. 16 through Thursday, Sept. 18. Bonds can be purchased by Ken-Caryl Ranch residents in increments of $5,000 with interest earnings exempt from both federal and State of Colorado income tax. It is anticipated that interest rates for the bonds will be determined by Tuesday, Sept. 16. Residents who may be interested in purchasing bonds during the advance purchase period or who would like more information on the process should contact Sherry Hansen with George K. Baum & Company at hansen@gkbaum.com or 303-292-1600. See the George K. Baum Ad from the Sept. 10 issue of Life at Ken-Caryl.

Opting Out of Dues Coupon Books

It is time to begin the process of ordering Master Association dues coupon books for 2015. If you pay your dues in one annual payment, online or with recurring payments, you may be interested in opting out of receiving a dues coupon book. Please complete the Opt-Out Form to stop receiving future dues coupon books. If you’ve opted out of coupon books in the past, you don’t need to fill out the form again. If you have recurring payments through your bank, you still need to fill out the form to discontinue receiving future coupon books. You can scan and email the completed form to Annette Chavez at annettec@kcranch.org, drop it off at the Ranch House, fax it to 303-972-1272 or mail to 7676 S. Continental Divide Road, Littleton, CO 80127.

Public Meeting for C-470 Express Toll Lanes Tonight at Ranch House

The C-470 Corridor Coalition will hold a public town hall meeting on Monday, Sept. 15 from 6-8 p.m. at the Ranch House to discuss proposed reconstruction of C-470 to add tolled express lanes and make other improvements. In February of 2013, the C-470 Coalition obtained consensus on Express Lanes as the preferred C-470 funding alternative. The Express Lanes being analyzed have different access designs and locations, no longer include a barrier separation, and include auxiliary lanes in select locations. For more information, visit the CDOT Project Website.
