Update Regarding Last Week's Facility Closure
Thank you to everyone for understanding the need to close our facilities last Wednesday due to a security concern. Jeffco Sheriff identified and has communicated with the individual who made concerning phone calls to staff last week. The Sheriff is monitoring the situation but does not feel he poses a threat. Staff will continue to have heightened awareness at all facilities, and they will call the Sheriff if there is cause for concern. The Sheriff and KCR staff will run additional patrols of the area for the next couple weeks. If you see anything suspicious, please notify the staff or contact the Sheriff at 303-277-0211.

Fires at Bradford South Campus
Last week, there were three incidents where someone started a fire at the Bradford South Campus off White Oak Drive. We encourage families to have a conversation about fire safety and explain the risks to the community. There are some great resources on our Firewise page linked below. If you see any suspicious behavior or have any information about the incidents, please contact the Jeffco Sheriff at 303-277-0211.

Parking for Manor House TrailThere is some confusion regarding parking at the Manor House now that there is a gate at the entrance. The gate will automatically open when a car approaches between the hours of 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. daily. Residents can park in the parking lot during those hours unless there is an event, in which case a sign will be posted. When the lot is closed, residents who wish to access Manor House Trail are asked to park along Ken Caryl Road/North Ranch Road ( see map). Also, please be aware that you are never permitted to park on the shoulder of Manor House Road.

Urban Drainage ProjectUrban Drainage is planning to start work later this week on the North Tributary to Massey Draw Bank Stabilization Project at Ken Caryl Ave. The project will fix a severely eroded embankment on the west side of Ken Caryl Ave. Workers will access the project at the end of Canyon Cedar and then drive through the open space to the construction area. Memorial Bench Dedication

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Historical Society would like to invite residents to commemorate the new Bradford-Perley Memorial Bench in the Apple Orchard. There will be a brief ceremony in the Orchard, followed by refreshments in the Bradford-Perley House.

Ranch House Pool Closed Friday and SaturdayKen-Caryl Lightning Swim Club will host the annual invitational swim meet Friday and Saturday, June 22 and 23 at the Ranch House Pool. The pool will be closed both days. Please visit the Community Center or Bradford Pools. We apologize for any inconvenience, and we hope you will cheer on the KC Lightning Swim Team!

Free Yoga in the ParkDate: Saturday, June 23
