  • NC State Choir performed with the North Carolina Symphony in December at Meymandi Concert Hall in downtown Raleigh. With four packed concerts in two days, featuring the Symphony, the Chorale and Broadway singer Shayna Steele, the students were a bright spot in the Symphony’s annual Holiday Pops performances.
  • Employee Recognition: Olga Kleiankina, a piano professor in the Department of Performing Arts and Technology, recently collaborated with North Carolina Chamber Music Institute Faculty Artists and Guest Musicians in a concert dedicated to the celebration of Martin Luther King Day. There will be an additional livestream Jan. 26 at 5 p.m. on the NCCMI YouTube Channel.
  • Employee Recognition: Kirsten Paige of the Department of Performing Arts and Technology signed a contract with Cambridge University Press to co-edit the Cambridge Companion to Music & the Environment with University of Nottingham ethnomusicologist, Lonán Ó Briain.
  • Reminder: Starting Feb. 5, Wolf Walks, Wellness and Recreation’s annual DASA walking challenge, is back again for yet another year! Register here.
