The Indiana CTSI is requesting applications for TL1 Postdoctoral translational research proposals focused on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Indiana CTSI strongly encourages applications from postdoctoral fellows who have a keen interest in directed training in advancing innovations into commercialization and entrepreneurship.
Submission of a letter of intent is required in order to receive approval for the submission of a full proposal.

Indiana Traumatic Spinal Cord & Brain Injury Research Fund
Submission Deadline: December 13, 2021
The objective of this program is to foster and encourage research for the prevention, treatment, and cure of spinal cord and traumatic brain injuries, including acute management, medical complications, rehabilitative techniques, and neuronal recovery. Collaborations are encouraged. Salary support for collaborators outside of Indiana will be limited, however.

Early Career Investigator Awards in Clinical-Translational Research (KL2)
Submission Deadline: January 5, 2021
These awards are designed to provide promising early-career faculty investigators the opportunity to be mentored in research-intensive, multi-disciplinary settings toward the goal of developing careers in clinical-translational research. The focus of these awards is to move findings from basic laboratory and pre-clinical research toward the development of new treatment options, interventions, or clinical trials to dissemination and implementation in order to study population health outcomes and metrics.

Chris Austin, MD, former director of the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, will be the keynote speaker.

The University of Notre Dame will be hosting a virtual retreat for the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. The theme will be, “Modern Approaches to Drug Discovery.”
Shaomeng Wang, Ph.D, Warner-Lambert/Parke-Davis Professor in Internal Medicine and professor of Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry, and director of the Michigan Center for Therapeutic Innovation at the University of Michigan, will be the keynote speaker.

About the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute
The Indiana CTSI includes Indiana University, Purdue University, and the University of Notre Dame as the major academic partners along with a number of other institutions and entities in the state.
It is funded by a Clinical and Translational Sciences Award from the National Institutes of Health amounting to some $33 million for the current five-year funding period of 2018-2023. This funding is supplemented by additional support from many other institutional and corporate partners.
Funding is provided to researchers by many mechanisms to promote translational and collaborative research among the partner institutions.
