| Calling All Members Interested in Local and State Medical Leadership Opportunities! | |
Are you a dedicated member of the Nashville Academy of Medicine (NAM) with a passion for driving positive change in the medical community? Here's your chance to make a meaningful impact as we open the doors for nominations to our local and state leadership positions. We encourage all interested members to step forward and take part in shaping the future of healthcare at both the NAM and Tennessee Medical Association (TMA) levels. NAM Board of Directors The NAM Board of Directors nominations process is now underway, and we invite you to consider playing an essential role in shaping the direction of our organization. This appointment is for a three-year term lasting from January 2024 to December 2026. The NAM Board of Directors oversees the activities of the Academy, upholding its mission and overseeing the implementation of our strategic plan. The time commitment is minimal, typically involving six evening meetings per year, each lasting two hours.
2024 Delegate to the TMA NAM Delegates will caucus in April before the annual House of Delegates meeting. Delegates will need to attend the House of Delegates meeting on April 6, 2024.
TMA Committee Members TMA offers a variety of standing committees, each covering distinct focus areas including Constitution and Bylaws, Public Health, Professional Relations, Education, Membership & Recruitment, Insurance Issues, and the newly introduced Physician Wellness committee. While not all committees are available at this time, opportunities arise throughout the year.
We take pride in the diverse expertise NAM members bring to TMA roles, from committee level engagement to committee chairs, Board of Trustees, and the House of Delegates.
Each year presents new opportunities to bridge local and state medical leadership, with your involvement holding the potential to create real change. Submit your nominations and seize the chance to shape the future of healthcare in our community. For more information or to express your interest, reach out to Rebecca Leslie or visit the TMA committee page to learn more about current committees.
