A Nyack Hospital program called Mamas Maravillosas is helping Latina mothers reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes by supporting them in losing weight. The program targets Latina women who are overweight, obese or have other risk factors that put them at a higher risk for diabetes.

Teddy Bear Hospital 

11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.


Nyack Hospital will host its popular Teddy Bear Hospital at Rockland County YouthFest, an annual community event at SUNY Rockland Community College’s Field House. Children, ages 2-10, will be given a free teddy bear, while supplies last, and have the opportunity to ask questions while their new stuffed animal is examined by the Hospital’s medical personnel.
