Dear NAM members,
It’s an honor to serve as the 2026 President of the Nashville Academy of Medicine (NAM). Since joining the Board of Directors in 2022, I’ve had the chance to get to know many of you, and I continue to be inspired by the dedication, compassion, and resilience I see throughout our physician community. I am grateful and excited for the year ahead.
In my work with Ascension Saint Thomas, I’m reminded every day of how challenging and meaningful this profession can be. So many of us are balancing busy practices, complex healthcare systems, and increasing pressures, all while keeping patients at the center of everything we do.
Having a community like NAM, where colleagues understand those challenges and support one another, has been incredibly grounding for me. This year, I hope to strengthen that sense of connection even further. I want NAM to feel like a place where physicians at every stage of their careers feel welcomed, encouraged, and valued.
I’m also looking forward to continuing our partnership with the Medical Foundation of Nashville including programs like Project Access Nashville Specialty Care and PROSPER. I encourage you to stay involved however you can, join us at events, share your ideas, or invite a colleague who might benefit from being part of this community. NAM is at its best when we’re connected.
Thank you for all you do for your patients, your practices, and this community. I look forward to serving alongside you in the year ahead.
Sincerely,
Christin Giordano McAuliffe, MD
Nashville Academy of Medicine
2026 President
