| James Metcalf marks 50+ years of teaching |
This year, College of Public Health professor James (Jim) Metcalf joined some very rare company, becoming the fourth George Mason University faculty member to mark 50 years of service. Since joining the Mason Nation in August 1973, Metcalf has seen the university grow into the largest public research university in Virginia. Congratulations to all faculty and staff celebrating a milestone anniversary this year.

Gerontological Society of America Conference |

This month, CPH faculty including Li-Mei Chen, Megumi Inoue, Lucas Prieto, Michelle Hand, Cathy Tompkins, Emily Ihara, and Gilbert Gimm attended the Gerontological Society of America (GSA) annual scientific meeting in Seattle, Washington.
All faculty were involved in several presentations and activities while attending the 2024 Annual Scientific Meeting of The Gerontological Society of America in Seattle Washington.
Megumi Inoue and Gilbert Gimm also became GSA Fellows in the SRPP section of the National Organization. What a fantastic representation of our CPH faculty!

As of November 24, HAP is in the lead, OSA is second, and NFS is sneaking up on the inside. Janusz Wojtusiak and Allison McKay had the most weekly steps for an individual in the chronologically respective past two weeks.
