Vanderbilt SPEAR's winning Green-A-Thon team tackles food waste.
| |
Congratulations to the winning team of tonight's Vandy SPEAR Green-A-Thon, comprised of Karisse Chisholm, Sydney Petrie, & Caroline Lee. The presentation, Size Matters, tackled food waste on campus, by proposing the implementation of smaller portion plates, so that students utilizing the All-You-Can-Eat meal system don't over-serve their food portions. The second and third place winners were also very impressive, proposing a Green Shuttle for students to have access to the surrounding TN State Parks, and the creation of a Living Moss Wall.
