New Trash and Recycling Totes Will Be Delivered in FebruaryResidents now have the option of continuing to use their own trash and recycling containers (either trash cans or bags) or of using 96-gallon totes provided at no charge by Waste Connections. For those residents who have ordered their totes, Waste Connections has informed us that they plan to start delivery of the new totes the second week of February with completion by the end of the month. The totes have wheels and are 42 inches tall, the top measures 30x34 inches, and the bottom is 24x24 inches. If you still want to order totes, send an email to kencarylco@wasteconnections.com or call the Ranch House at 303-979-1876. In the email or phone message, say that you want to sign up for totes and provide your name, address, email address and phone number. You can request both trash and recycling totes, just a trash tote, or just a recycling tote.

| Drawing Basics Class for AdultsDevelop your drawing skills with fun exercises that demonstrate design principles: value, composition, mark-making, etc., while learning to “see” like an artist. Students will complete a composition during class. Supplies needed: HB, 2B, 6B pencils, kneaded eraser, 9×12 drawing pad or larger, and Ultra Fine Sharpie. Instructor Gail Firmin has been teaching adult art classes in the community for the past 10 years.

| Return Your Proxy Form for a Chance to Win a Free Month of DuesEach property owner on Ken-Caryl Ranch should have received a proxy slip either in the mail or via email in December. The proxies serve to establish quorum (simple majority) at the Annual Meeting on March 1. They do not grant voting rights to anyone. Residents need to sign and return their proxy slip because 2,467 signed proxies are needed to hold the Annual Meeting. You can also download a Proxy Form and email it to annettec@kcranch.org, fax it to 303-972-1272, drop it off at the Ranch House or mail it to KCRMA, 7676 S. Continental Divide Road, Littleton, CO 80127. A copy of the proxy form is also available at the Ranch House. To be entered into the drawing for one free month of dues, return your proxy prior to the Annual Meeting on March 1.

| Donations Sought for "Share Your Love" Community Food DriveThe eighth annual "Share Your Love" Community Food Drive runs through Feb. 13. We encourage residents to drop off non-perishable food items as well as diapers, pet food and feminine products at the Ranch House or Community Center. Please see the Food Drive Flyer for a list of most-needed items. The items will be donated to the Cabrini Cupboard Food Bank, Stepping Stones Food Bank, Southern Gables Church and various small food pantries.

| Jan. 29 Deadline to Turn in Application for Master Association BoardPlease give some thought to serving your community by becoming a member of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Board of Directors, the decision-making, policy-setting leaders of this community. There is one seat on the MA Board that will be on the ballot in March. The MA Board meets in the evening on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Board members are expected to attend other meetings on an as-needed basis. Serving three-year staggered terms, a portion of the Board is elected each year. Interested applicants can download a Board Application or pick one up at the Ranch House. Applications are due by Jan. 29.
