e-Bikes as Mobility Devices in the Open Space
The Master Association Board intends to pass a motion at its June 20 meeting to allow class 1 pedal-assist e-bikes as an Other Power-Driven Mobility Device in the Ken-Caryl Ranch Private Open Space. Under this policy, e-Bikes will only be allowed for those individuals with a disability. The actual policy is being drafted and details are not yet available. The Metropolitan District Board passed a similar motion for the Ken-Caryl Ranch Public Open Space at its April Board meeting.

| RV and Trailer Parking

Parks Department Working Hard to Clean Up Tree BranchesSeveral recent storms have wreaked havoc on Ken-Caryl Ranch’s trees. The Metropolitan District’s Parks Department is once again in the process of cleaning up all of the downed branches and mulching them, but this process may take a while due to the large amount. Our normal place to store the mulch is full, therefore the Parks Department is using the Brannon Gearhart Park parking lot as a temporary storage location for mulch, which will be used in parks and around trees throughout the community. Thank you for your patience!

| Splash Pad Features Will Be Added in Late June
Four new interactive water features will be added to the Community Center Splash Pad in late June. These additions were made possible through funding from the Conservation Trust Fund and a Jefferson County Local Park and Recreation Grant. Keep an eye on the e-News and our Facebook page for an exact opening date later next month.
