Dairy Leaders: Crowley Dairy Leadership Nominations Due by May 1st |
|
|
The James W. Crowley Dairy Leadership Award applications are due on May 1st! Leaders, please nominate your county's outstanding dairy project members. Each county can recognize up to 3 individuals to fill out the form. If you already have someone in mind, nominate them now! The top three youth will each receive $1000 cash awards. The individual must be nominated by their county, currently enrolled in the dairy project, and in grades 10-13 as of January 1st.
An additional award, the Schultz Scholarship, is a separate award that is identified through the same application process. The top 4-H member that is a Junior in high school as of January 1, 2026, will be offered a $5000 scholarship to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and enroll in the Dairy and Food Animal Management major. Another donor funds this scholarship.

2026 Summer Academy: The Quest |
|
|
| The Wisconsin 4-H Summer Academy, scheduled for June 14-18, 2026, at the UW-Madison campus, offers youth in grades 8-11 an immersive four-day experience to explore career paths and college life.
Registration runs until April 26, 2026, featuring specialized "SPARK" tracks in STEM, arts, agriculture, and leadership for $150.

Photo Opp, an Appleton-based nonprofit, will be hosting a series of structured curriculum created specifically to help the 4-H youth with their photography submissions. Each class will include a lesson for the group and then time for kids to practice what they learned while getting individual teaching. There will also be "homework" for the youth to do between the classes.

|

Wildlife and Woods is Wisconsin 4-H’s statewide natural sciences, wildlife, and forestry monthly, virtual event. Participants learn about wild places across the United States following the 4-H Wildlife Habitat Education Program (WHEP) and the 4-H Forestry Program. Materials are designed for all ages and knowledge levels, so everyone can benefit. Plus, it's FREE.

Volunteers Needed: Breakfast on the Farm |
The Brown County Dairy Promotions Committee is looking for volunteers for our annual Breakfast on the Farm event. This year’s event will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at Tinedale Farms at 2768 Poplar St, Wrightstown, WI. There are multiple volunteer shifts available throughout the weekend of the event. Volunteers who are a part of a group/organization are eligible to receive compensation for volunteering their time.

New Process for Shooting Sports Certification
Deadline Approaching - April 13!

A Wisconsin 4-H Shooting Sports Leader may be certified in archery, coordinator, muzzleloader, pistol, rifle and shotgun disciplines. Leaders may only teach in the discipline in which they are certified. An adult leader cannot provide hands-on or safety instruction without a 4-H certified leader supervising the range.

Agronomy E-Learning Academy Scholarship |
|
|
Do you know a young person that is interest in agronomy, a current 4-H member, and in grades 9 - 11? Encourage them to apply to be part of the Purdue Agronomy E-Learning Crop Professional Program and earn the Purdue Agronomy Crop Professional Certificate. The three, $2,000 classes will be free to any member accepted into the program because of Indiana 4-H's participation with the Ballmer grant - they have extended to WI 4-H members.
Please note, the application deadline is April 20, 2026.

WTA 2026 Scholarship Program |
|
|
The Wisconsin Towns Association, in partnership with Rural Mutual Insurance Co. and Scott Construction, Inc., will award a total of ten $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors graduating in 2026 from either a public or private Wisconsin high school who plan to enroll in a Wisconsin public or private college or university in 2026.
Scholarship recipients will be selected through an independently judged essay contest. This year’s essay topic is “What strategies can be implemented by local government officials in collaboration with citizens to encourage and maintain civility?"
Students do not need to be residents of towns to be eligible.
Essay and application must be received by May 22, 2026.
