Exhibition of Dildilian’s Work Opens |
“Under the Sky,” an exhibition of work by Lydia Dildilian, assistant professor of painting, opened with a reception last evening at the Merkle Gallery of the South Arkansas Arts Center (SAAC) in El Dorado. “Under the Sky” invites visitors to consider how personal experiences connect to broader cultural histories. Interactive installations allow guests to build their own layered landscapes. The exhibition will continue through Sept. 26.

| Narcum’s Marketing Research Published |
An article co-authored by Dr. Eric Narcum, assistant professor of marketing, has been published online in the Journal of Business Research, and it will be in print in September. Narcum’s research focuses on consumers' perceptions of and reactions to cause-related marketing advertisements. It demonstrates that if consumers perceive such advertisements as bragging, it negatively impacts the likelihood that they will purchase from the brand.

Moore Presents to Two Professional Groups |
Dr. Carlitta Moore, vice chancellor for access and institutional engagement, made two recent presentations for professional groups. At the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Clinical Symposia and AT Expo in Philadelphia, she addressed the challenge certified athletic trainers often grapple with, doubting their professional skills amidst evolving healthcare standards. She also spoke in Waco, Texas, about work-life balance at the Southwest Athletic Trainers’ Association Symposium & Billy Pickard Expo.

| Brown Reviews Book on Judicial Advocacy |
A book review by Dr. Angelo Brown, assistant professor of criminology, has been published. Brown gave his analysis of “Robed Representatives: How Black Judges Advocate in American Courts,” by T.M. Davis. Also, Brown’s comments about an Idaho county that contracts with a private company to edit the content of police shooting videos were included in an article on the BoiseDev online news site.

Nagpal Interacts with State Dept. Agency |
Dr. Pankaj Nagpal, assistant professor of information systems and business analytics, visited EducationUSA, formerly USIEF, a State Department agency that promotes U.S. education in India. He acquainted EducationUSA with A-State programs, particularly the master’s degree in applied digital technology, which will be relaunched this fall with an artificial intelligence emphasis. Nagpal also participated online in the International Chief Data Officer and Information Quality (CDOIQ) Symposium.
