Can you help with desserts for the MCH Christmas Party?
Can you help with desserts for the MCH Christmas Party?
December 16, 2015
A big thank you to the PHUMC Choir for singing the Christmas message to us last Sunday!  We so appreciate the efforts of our choir director Philip Messner, all of our musicians, our sound engineer Rick Kolar, and our narrator Anne Carrie Swoope.  Your hard work was evident, and we still have goosebumps.
Thank you.

  Love Christmas Baking?
The Methodist Children's Home Christmas Party is THIS SATURDAY the 19th, at 11:30 am.  We still need more volunteers to provide enough sweets to serve 120 people. (If you can't decide what to make, the teens there always request banana pudding!) Please contact April Stephenson to let her know she can count on you to help supply the desserts.  THANK YOU!
If you cannot make it to MCH on Saturday, you may meet the Stephensons with your desserts in the church parking lot between 10:30-10:45 am on Saturday morning and they will deliver them for you.
There are times in life when the Christmas season may not be filled with joy. Sunday evening at 6:00 pm, we will have a Blue Christmas service sensitive to the needs of those whose hearts are heavy this time of year.  Please invite anyone you think would receive comfort and hope from this service, and join us to surround them with compassion and support.
We had another fun, seasonal art, snack and reading session with the preschool class of East Flora Elementary School last Friday.  This time the theme was Winter.
The Spring session is scheduled for March 18th.  Interested in becoming a part of this group?  Contact Allison Jordan to sign up.
Thanks again to all who picked up a Christmas wishlist for a MadCAAP child.  Remember to have your gifts wrapped, labeled, and dropped off at MadCAAP by Saturday, December 19th.
